Nyx eyeless library cat AKA Goddess of Night (2008-2021)
Nyx was an amazing animal and is much missed. She was adopted as a tiny kitten from The Henrico Humane Society as a library cat and lived in the Collection Management Department (Acquisitions, Processing & Cataloging) at the Chesterfield County Public Library from 2008-2012. In 2012 her main service person (Ann) changed jobs and Nyx began her telework career. In the fall of 2021 Nyx was diagnosed with jaw cancer and died on October 21, 2021 – exactly 13 years to the day she started her career at CCPL.
